I forgot to post about what happened at our complex a couple of weeks ago. It wasn't drugs this time that brought the cops to our neighborhood - it was a hit and run. A high school kid from the complex next door was hit by a car. The car kept on driving. There were a lot of newspeople out on our street the next day, and we continue to see a flow of people come to light candles at the vigil area outside his complex, where his mother is faithfully seen each night. I know it's got to be trauamatic for a driver to realize they have hit another human being with their car, but why on earth would they keep on driving without even checking to see if the kid was alive?
The family attends Faith, a church just a half-mile down the street, and they are taking donations for the family.
