Right now I am working on a semester project for one of my classes, and I am ready to be finished with it. The semester will be over Thursday, Dec. 15 (3 finals and 2 projects to go in the next 9 days!). I am ready for the break, but I must say I have enjoyed being back in school. It is nice to use my brain again after much of it atrophied during my stint at the IRS.The weather here is cold. COLD boy, COLD! Yesterday there were hurricane, yes HURRICANE! speed winds in the Denver metro area. It was particularly bad in Boulder, where it came like a screaming banshee off the foothills. Wind gusts were measured in the 80 mph range. And mind you, this wind didn't last for a few hours and go away, it was from dawn till dusk. The wind was so bad that it made it difficult to just walk. One guy on the bus said he twisted his knee because of it, and I thought I was going to see one girl get blown to the ground. In the Engineering Center at CU, at least one window blew out. It just shattered. A professor of mine was at a conference and came back today to be told that one of his office windows blew open and that his office was a mess - things knocked over, papers everywhere. Let's just hope he didn't lose our exams, which he still hasn't finished grading. Now it's just cold. It is 3º F as I write, and the high tomorrow is 7º F. A single digit high - woohoo! It's supposed to be in the mid/high 40s by the weekend so here's hoping.Rock over London, Rock on Chicago- Lucas -
