Situation

May 4th, 2006

So yesterday at work I had an iteresting situation. I was pulling an order to be shipped to a customer, and I noticed that one of the parts that I had to pull was in an odd location, one that only contained parts of another product line. I thought this to be odd, so I asked my lead about it and he said that it was in a different spot. This spot being a box, that what seemed like millions of parts that we are planning on scapping soon, soon being sometime in the future that no one really knows, but they say soon to make everyone happy. Anyways I start digging through this box, and I am amazed by the number of parts this box contains. There are millions of hoses and washers and other miscellaneous parts. So I look through it forever and it seems like I am never going to find this part, digging and digging. Of course you wonder why I don't just tell someone that I am not going to find it, well the reason being it is supposed to be sent UPS Red, which means overnight to those of you who aren't in shipping. Well I do get to the point where I feel like giving up, about a half hour later. I just want to quit, but what does my eye see, but something that looks like the part that I am looking for, and it is. After a half hour of searching through a mess of parts, I finally find it. The order ships and everyone is happy.

So, the question I am asking is, am I unfortunate for having to dig through a box of crazy parts or am I fortunate because I was able to find the part?
