Back From Camp

July 17th, 2004

Ahh... where do I begin. I am not so sure. So let's go with the ride down. In the tiny town of Tigard, I just about hit every light in the town. It was horrible, and each light took about a minute and a half to change, horrible. But Once I got through there it was a good ride down, especially the stop at Dairy Queen in Sheridan. Let's just say that this dairy queen is in the middle of nowhere. You drive down the road and there is nothing, and then there is a Dairy Queen, and then nothing once again.

Also this is a side not, one of the place I passed was an Oliphant Orchard, where they grow real Oliphants. I would have taken a picture, but I didn't know it was there, so maybe on my next trip to the beach, I will get a picture of it for everyone.

My week there was pretty good. I had a real good group of kids, and most of them were from my church, and they kind of knew me already. They did what I told them to do most of the time. I enjoyed my time with them. Sometimes though, the counselor I was with was a real deadbeat at times. So at those times I had to take care of eleven kids by myself and that was difficult. But overall my camp experience was good.
