Yes that would be today, saturday. Well for me on the proper coast atleast.
Yesterday I saw The Day After Tomorrow. I enjoyed it. It was really good. Aside from all the political crap in it, the special effects were pretty cool, along with all the cheesy dialog, and almost dieds. So I hope this right here doesn't spoil it for you, but this is the typical American disaster movie. The disaster wins, but there still is a happy ending.
I also saw a mighty wind. That movie is very enjoyable to watch. I kind of like folk music now. I also saw Megiddo on TBN, it was weird. It was about the end times, but I am not so sure what view they tried to fulfill. I think it was Historic Premillenial, but I think that they were trying to make everyone happy, so they really just leaving a lot of the Bible out.
Anyways that is it for me. I don't have much else to do or to talk about.
PEACE IN
My confession is that...I am playing basketball. Yes I know. I dislocated my shoulder back in the day, and the doctor told me not to play ball until it had surgery on it, but I did. And dang it I feel good. And isn't that all that matters. Ok maybe not.
Anyways, my internship has kept me plenty busy. I work from 8:30 to 5 and then I also have meetings and such that keeps me busy outside of work hours. So yes, I am working and I am glad that I have this internship. Hooray.
Anyways I still hate the lakers, and a lot of other people do as well
Here, Here and Here is one site that combines Plato's Republic and Resevoir Dogs. It is pretty sweet.
So I left at 10:30 last friday. I had everything loaded up in my truck before my final, and left. My first stop was Chilocothe Missouri. I had to pee really bad there. Also after I filled up with gas, I got some ice cream at the Dairy Queen there. It was a large dipped cone, butterscotch. It was really good.
Then I hit the road again. I stopped at a rest area on I-29 and there I saw a midget. It was great.
Then I came to the first spot where I had traffic. Lincoln Nebraska. It was interesting. Not really and my post is really boring you all right now, so now I will just talk about cone gnomes.
I think that every state out there besides Utah believes in cone gnomes. I am sure you have all been driving down the street and then you see the signs for road construction. Then you drive past and there is absolutely no one working on the roads at all, but there are cones down the middle of the highway. This is where the cone gnomes live. They live under these specially designed cones that they place on highways, and when nobody is driving past at night, the gnomes come out and fix the highways. I am sure that Missouri, Nebraska, Wyoming, and Idaho believe in these creatures. Why else would they have miles of construction, and no one, at least no one you can see, working on the roads. Cone gnomes are what they use to fix the roads. Yes... Cone gnomes.
Also on a side note, I guess when I was at home saturday night I was shaking really bad. I didn't notice, but everyone else in my family did. I think it was the 5 Amps I drank that day.
Anyways that was my trip. I started my internship today. i think it will be a good summer.
Tomorrow, at around 10:30-11 I shall be leaving to go home, I will not be able to post for a while, because it is a 27 hour drive, unless I drive straight, which could be fun. So maybe I will post when I get back. Anyways, I should be having an interesting summer, I will be doing my internship, getting shoulder surgery, going to church camp, and a whole lotta fun stuff that will ensue. So I shall be having mucho funo this summer-o.
PEACE
Well, I only have one final left now. Hooray, execpt not so hooray, because it is on friday. So that really stinks. Now I have to pack and do all of that crazy stuff. Anyways, all I really have to fight now is laziness.
I had my Hebrews final today. I think I did alright. I had a little trouble on the memory work. I had one down, and it seemed like the rest of them I was only able to manage remembering about three quarters of them. Anyways, I have two finals left, I am not worried about either on too badly, but I still need to do well on them for the sake of keeping a good grade in those classes.
I leave for home on friday hopefully at about 10:30 to 11. Then I shall begin my drive. I am not sure where I will stop yet. I am thinking either Laramie WY, or Little America WY. Not too sure yet though, it depends on what time I get to those places. Anyways for those who don't know, this trip is about 2000 miles, and it is pretty boring at times. I enjoy it though, and I shall survive.
Ok, here at central there is a certain RA who needs to learn how to be made fun of. Last night some guys pulled some pranks on him, and he has completely overreaccted. He is having a "Serious Talk" with the guys who did it. Well, I think he needs to calm down. Why? Because this is exactly what the people who made fun of him want him to do. Overreact and just go ballistic. I have been made fun of a lot in my life, and 9 times out of 10 it is for a reaction. If you just look at the guys who do it and smile they don't do it again, or if they do it again they want to get a reaction. Still just look smile, and continue what you were doing. The best way to deal with mockers is to not give them what they want. If you realize that, then you know how to be made fun of.
Well today I got my truck back. It needed the clutch replaced. It will make my trip home easier since now I will actually be able to accelerate in first and second gear. Although, I will not be able to have internet access in my room for the rest of the year. Anyways that is fifty percent.
Anyways the weather today is very nice, and it makes me wonder why I am still inside. I guess that is just the way I am. Actually I would be outside if I felt like I had a reason to, but I don't feel a reason to, so I will avoid getting sun burned right now.
I also hope the weather stays good, because I want good weather when I travel home. No Rain. Please. I do not want to have to cover up all of my stuff and have a freaking tarp blowing around in the back of my truck. I can hope.
That is all I can think of right now.
Well, it looks like I am going to get my internet connection disconnected here at school for playin Halo on the network. Oh well. It is just another way microsoft is screwing me over.
Well I have two projects left to do. I am working on one right now, and then I will start the other one later. I should be getting A's on both of them. I think that I am having one of the best semesters of school in my life. I hope that that is true when grades come out.
Anyways, if you read brendoman.com, who hosts me, you read a lot of political stuff. Especially between Gingo and Honzo. I think it is interesting what they have to write. I tend to lean more conservative, but I don't want to completely flaw anyone because they are liberal. I hate hearing people say that we should kick all of the liberals out of the country and then turn around and deposit their student loan checks, or social security checks, or things like that. I just think in my head, wow, you don't understand. Then again I hate hearing liberals talk about how the economy is so horrible. Well, economy cycles. I think it will be on an up swing soon. I also want to say that Clinton used Reganomics. So just be patient with the economy. Also, I have no problem with a gap between the rich and the poor. It is a product of capitalism. It is not sinful to be poor. I like capitalism because it allows for the poor person to become rich and the rich person to become poor. I hate socialism because it causes a lack of motivation, why work hard to become a doctor, when you can make the same amount by flipping burgers at McDonalds? That is just my thoughts.
Well, today was quite the interesting day. It started out simple enough. I woke up at about 10:30 and went to brunch. Then I came back and play some Unreal Tournament 2004. Then I showered. Then not too long after that I went to Wal-Mart.
Now a friend of mine had been telling me about this really good looking tall chick that worked at wal-mart. He always tells me about how he is going to get her number for me. Well today I saw here. And let me tell you she is a beautiful individual. I was going to check out at her aisle, but then she was gone. So, I didn't get the chance to say anything to her.
Soon after I got back from Wal-Mart, a friend asked if I wanted to watch a movie that he had rented. The movie? Leprechaun. I must say it was humorous. Maybe when this movie came out, it scared people, but it sure didn't scare me at all. Then this is where it got crazy. The same guy went and rented two more Leprechaun movies. Leprechaun In The Hood, and Leprechaun: Back 2 Tha Hood. They were funny. I don't know if the movies ever really decided if they were going to be horror movies or commentaries on life in the hood, but they should have picked one, so that the movie would have been better.
Anyways, I am out.
So tonight I went to a battle of the bands. Palmer was their and they RAWKED. Well ok, that is a joke, but they were pretty awesome. Also Treaty Of Paris played. They were really good. I enjoyed listening to them. Anyways I really want to do operation water balloon, but the weather needs to get better.
