This was something that happened to me while on my walk yesterday. It was pretty nuts. My leg still hurts a little bit and I have a gnarly bruise on my back, but other than that I am fine. Just scraped up a little. It was worth it though as I don't think those dogs would have made it out of the canyon. Be sure to keep your dogs' tags up to date! If I hadn't been able to get a hold of the owner, I'm not sure what I would have done. I probably would have had to take them to a shelter or something.
Finally saw Gangnam Style by Psy tonight.
All I could think of is "Y2Kai is all grown up!"
G4 was at the signing for Ernest Cline's amazing book, Ready Player One and they interviewed me. You can see for yourself at the 1:50 mark. They misspelled my name but that was probably my fault for not writing legibly on the release form. Thanks to Nerdist's Jonah Ray for deciding I was interesting enough to include in this segment.

YouTube - Randy "Macho Man" Savage Tribute Video (Raw, May 23rd 2011)
I don't know how to say this in a good way, but sometimes it really sucks being a wrestling fan. I don't watch it anymore, but I still keep tabs on it because I've always found it fascinating. It sucks because for one reason or another, so many wrestlers die young. I don't know anything else that I follow where so many of the performers I watched when I was growing up are dead and on Friday we lost one of the most iconic of them all. Yes, Hulk Hogan is probably more famous, but Randy Savage was the total package. He will definitely be missed.

This is just one of the many reasons why Community is probably my favorite show on TV right now.

This video just might be the very reason streaming video on the web was created. It's amazing. Thanks Mike for the tip.
James Van Der Beek is pretty awesome. Check out James Van Der Memes for awesome animated gifs like this one:
And a new take on an old classic:
Perhaps we're not too far away from him embracing his role as Rick Sanford in Angus. One can hope.

This really put a smile on my face. If you've seen the original teaser, you know just how awesome this is. Props to Michael J. Fox for doing it. Speaking of BTTF, I am really looking forward to the Blu-Ray release later this month. The quality of the transfer that I have seen looks incredible!

Holy crap, this is INSANE. I wonder how they slipped this by Fox.
Comic-Con was incredible. The opening night of Smodcastle was a roaring success. I think I might finally be caught up on sleep. I have a ton of pictures and video from Comic Con. So far I've uploaded two. Here's Danny Elfman from his Q&A:

Here's Kevin Smith from the Batman: Widening Gyre panel:

I have multiple clips from several other panels, including Kevin's Film Threat panel, RED, The Expendables, and Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World. I'll be editing those together and posting them throughout the week on my YouTube Channel.

So that's it. My car is officially gone. The police found it but it ended up being a lost cause. I'm a little sad it all went down this way. I'm currently working on getting a new car. The video was shot on my new iPhone and I was holding it vertically which is why the image is so skinny. I'll be sure to hold the phone vertically next time.

This is pretty awesome. It's a short directed by Keven Tancharoen to try and build some interested in an R-Rated Mortal Kombat movie. The video is probably NSFW, so beware. I think this could be a really good idea, especially with Michael Jai White as Jax. What do you think?

Not only is it funny but the Improv Everywhere guys did the stunt to raise awareness for the massive budget cuts the library is facing so that makes it twice as awesome. I really would love one of those jumpsuits. Hat tip to Angie for the link.
CollegeHumor doesn't seem to have embed codes so you'll have to go here to watch the humorous video that will appeal to anyone who ever spent any amount of time running around The Temple hunting for the Golden Gun. The Odd Job scene probably rang most true to me. Thanks to Bill for sharing it with me.

Holy crap. If you've ever been a fan of action films, I think you'll enjoy this. I still wish they had managed to sign Van Damme. That would have been pretty epic.

This is definitely my kind of documentary as it details a generation's love/hate relationship with the man who created (and some would argue ruined) Star Wars. My good friend Matt Cohen was interviewed for the film, which makes its debut at South by Southwest in Austin. He's the guy in the trailer who says he's not sure if, upon meeting Lucas in the street, he would shake his hand or punch him in the stomach. I'll definitely be keeping an eye on this film and hopefully I'll get a chance to see it in the near future.
I'm not going to lie, I'm pretty stoked for this.
This is a pretty great video especially for those of you wanting to see a closer look at the set of The Pee-Wee Herman Show and the puppets in action. It's pretty funny too.

I think Tom wouldn't mind me since I wouldn't even ask about Back to the Future. I would only talk about Freaks and Geeks.
Sketchy Santa from Coty Gonzales on Vimeo.
Hope you all have a good one. Props to Phil for sending me this video.
Here's a good topic of discussion: Your favorite Christmas gift ever. Before I received my NES a couple years later, this was probably mine.

That voice changing snake head microphone was pretty much the coolest thing ever as far as my 6 year old mind was concerned. Yes, Castle Grayskull was awesome, but somehow Mattel managed to top it with Snake Mountain. Those guys were pretty much geniuses when it came to selling toys to young boys.
