Danny sent me an email a couple days ago asking about iPhone App review sites since he is planning on purchasing the new iPhone 3GS. I figured I would share my response here since it could be helpful.
appsafari.com: While this site lacks detailed reviews it does provide user ratings, categories, and top 25 lists.
iPhone App Reviews: This is a pretty good blog featuring in-depth app reviews. I've found some cool apps on here that would have normally slipped through the cracks if I only browsed the app store.
What's On iPhone: In addition to app reviews this blog features all the latest iPhone news and lots of other useful information. Definitely worth an RSS subscription.
AppVee: This site is great because it has its own iPhone App that allows you to view app reviews and their great video reviews. You can also submit your own reviews and rankings.
Apple iPhone School: This site has reviews, news, and lots of helpful tutorials and other information. It also has a whole section dedicated to jailbreaking your iPhone.

May not be relevant to all of your readers -- but if you're looking for reviews of kids apps in particular, you can check out 
http://www.theiphoneappreview.com is also a great resource. They feature a lot of apps and provide comprehensive and honest reviews
