Wil Wheaton Watches The Watchmen

WWdN: In Exile: Spoiler Alert: WATCHMEN is fucking awesome.

I'm not going to discuss specifics, because that would suck for a lot of people, but: PAY ATTENTION, MY FELLOW GEEKS: YOU HAVE NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT.

(Did I just all-cap and bold that? I guess I did. What is this, MacWrite in 1986? Whatever. I'm leaving it, because it's that important to me that my fellow geeks read it.)

I know just because Wil Wheaton (and Kevin Smith) say it's good, that doesn't mean a whole lot in the grand scheme of things but both of these guys are huge fans of the graphic novel so I think it's worth something. Wil goes on to address many folks' concerns (*cough* Kyle *cough*) by saying that the movie does capture the look and feel of the graphic novel. I guess in the end it's a matter of opinion, but I am still very psyched to see this movie.

I highly recommend the new hardcover they put out. It's really spiffy. I've been digging it immensely on the re-read. Almost done!

We'll see. And I do hope that my prejudgment is wrong.

As long as the ending is the same as in the book, and not the one that Kyle was worried about in his blog, the movie will be good enough for me.

Well, I know for a fact the ending isn't exactly the same as the book. I still think it could work though. I'm waiting to actually see the movie before I pass judgment.
