The following post is a paid review
A while back Dave referred me to Text Link Ads, an ad service that allows publishers such as myself to approve which text ads we want to display. So far I am pleased with the service. Now the folks at Text Link Ads have unveiled a new ad service, ReviewMe, which I also found out about thanks to Dave. Here's the description they give:
Get paid to review services and Web sites that are of interest to your readers, and reap the benefits of conversation with advertisers.
So basically an advertiser signs up on ReviewMe and chooses which blogs they want to review their product. If the blogger chooses to accept the offer, they then write a review of the site or product. They are not required to post a positive review. They then get paid to do so. I'm writing this particular review of ReviewMe as part of a promotion they are doing to get bloggers on board. If you sign up now, you'll be offered to review the ReviewMe website and will be paid to do so. It looks like the amount of money you get is determined by things like your Alexa and Google rankings and things like that. I'm getting $50 to write this review. So that's pretty darn cool. If I can get just a few review offers a month, that will be a nice little side income. Hopefully this service will take off and advertisers will flock to it. It will be interesting to see how it works out.
