I was given the opportunity to take a peek at the latest issue of Zombie Outlaw thanks to its talented writer, Brian Apodaca. The book is a visual feast thanks to the artwork of Benny Jordan. The story is pretty easy to follow and I was quickly re-immersed in the world Apodaca and Jordan have created even though it has been some time since I picked up the last issue.
I really enjoyed the reproduction of the school newspaper to set the stage. It really sets a great tone. I’ve been longing for a more humorous take on the zombie genre since the amazing but short-lived Everybody’s Dead by Brian Lynch and Zombie Outlaw definitely fills that void. If you’re looking for some senseless violence mixed in with good fun and clever writing, definitely give this latest issue a read.
